Sammantha Cree arrived in London in late 2024 without a studio, without a clear path, and without any certainty that moving her practice here would work. Two years on, her work is on our shelves, fired in a gas kiln in East London with ash and rust and coastal tones carried quietly from the other side of the world. We sat down with her to talk about all of it.
Handmade Homewares from UK Makers, to Make a House a Home
Design-led pieces, sourced direct from the studio. Formed for everyday.
Why I Started Fodder
In a previous life I spent years hanging artwork on walls. Paintings in galleries, prints at art fairs, made to be looked at.
But the handmade things we hold every day never got the same credit. The mug you reach for first. The plate that makes dinner feel like something. The vase for your favourite seasonal blooms.
So I made a shop for them. Work direct from independent UK makers, all of it made to be used, held, lived with and not saved for best.
Nothing throwaway, nothing made for landfill. Celebrating craftsmanship with honest, functional, design-led wares, and real investment in the makers behind every piece.
I'm Luci. This is Fodder.

The Studio Sessions with Nic Brittin
Nic Brittin came to block printing through grief, through her mother's sewing machine, through the need to make something real with her hands. What began as a private, meditative process became, almost accidentally, a business. Now, after a year of painstaking work translating that handmade character into small-batch digital production, she's our summer guest maker. We sat down with her to talk about all of it.

The Studio Sessions with Cara Guthrie
Cara Guthrie has stocked with us for over six years. After two years away, a move to the Perthshire Highlands, a new baby, a new studio, a funded exhibition about motherhood and care work, and an ongoing project raising funds for Gaza, she's back. We sat down with her to talk about all of it.
