James Pegg is the maker behind JDP Ceramics. His love for movement and colour in his work stems from his BA in Printed Textiles (Glasgow School of Art) and his MA in Fashion (Central St. Martins). Having recently moved from London to Manchester, James continues to lecture in Fashion Design alongside his ceramic work. Colour and movement play a strong part in his Action Casting project, the technique of pouring stained porcelain into a coloured slip casting mould to create unique abstract pieces. The colour dictating its own path which is then fired permanently into the work.
