When we opened Fodder in 2019, we began with a carefully chosen group of makers whose work we believed in deeply. Six years on, many things have changed – but some pieces have stayed with us, season after season.

From mugs we reach for daily, to vases, trinket dishes and candles that quietly shape the rhythm of home life, these are six products we’ve stocked since the beginning – and why they’re still excellent buys today.

Ceramicist Amelia Christoffers joins the Fodder fold with sculptural vessels, lamps and vases shaped by the landscapes of West Dorset. Rooted in nature and informed by her background in floristry, her work explores the meeting point of form, function and quiet beauty.

Maker’s marks are the quiet signatures on handmade wares—initials, symbols, or names pressed into clay that tell a story of origin, intention, and craft. As we rebrand to Fodder, this idea resonates deeply. Our new name is our own maker’s mark: a deliberate stamp of identity, shaped with care and made to live on beyond the studio.

We sat down with artist Clare Halifax to find out a little bit more about her practice, the inspiration that is everywhere and the new found freedom from the black line she is exploring through her original pencil drawings.
