Bio

Amelia Christoffers is based along the Jurassic Coast in West Dorset. After 15 years working in the floral industry, she wanted to create something more permanent. Her first designs were organic-shaped vessels that encouraged minimalist flower arrangements. The sea, the stones, and the shifting coastal landscape continue to inspire her forms and textures, with an aim to create movement and softness. As a nod to the many bows she made during her time as a florist, she later translated this motif into clay, trying to emulate the movement of a material she had worked with for over a decade. Amelia brings a fresh, considered perspective to contemporary ceramics - promising work rooted in care, curiosity, and connection.
