Jo Waterhouse is the artist behind Hadley Paper Goods who create unique eco-friendly greeting cards and gift wrap. All Hadley designs start life as an original artwork: a collage, drawing or print created by Jo. The cards are designed to look so good on a shelf or mantelpiece that they’ll be kept up there long after the occasion has passed! Jo comes from a long line of artists and has been drawing, painting and creating her whole life. Particularly fascinated by pattern and design, Jo was an antique dealer in London before she started HPG. The shapes, colours and textures of the pieces she sourced were a constant source of inspiration for Jo’s artwork. Jo started working on HPG full time after becoming a mother in 2016. The change gave her the flexibility she needed and the opportunity to sell her own beautifully made works, instead of those she had found by others. Jo’s style is very playful, and she has a lot of fun in the studio. Sometimes designs are hand-painted or printed from a block, pieces might be snipped out of old books or magazines or use antique paper in the collaging, a homage to her early career. All products are made from recycled materials, are 100% recyclable, including the packaging, and are made in the UK.
