Hand-thrown mug by Janne Meijer in a marbled stoneware.

The stoneware is coloured with a pigment, then layered and marbled before being thrown on the wheel, allowing the pattern to emerge through this process. 

The mug has a subtle step in the form half way up and the glazing is applied to this point and down the length of the gently curved handle. There is a lovely contrast between the unglazed marbled stoneware and the translucent inky glaze of the interior of the mug. 

7.5 cm (w) x 8.5 cm (h) approx. not including handle
