St Eval makes these scented tin candles at their clifftop home in North Cornwall, each one a love letter to the landscapes that inspire them. Tranquillity is soft and soporific, lavender and clove with cinnamon and eucalyptus up top and a warm base of patchouli, vanilla and musk. It's the very first scent St Eval created, and still one of their most loved. In their own words, a sleepy blanket of lavender, soft balmy drops of clove leaf oil and the unperturbed flowers of a patchouli bush. The tin carries a hand-drawn illustration by Cornish artists. Hand-finished in Cornwall and B Corp certified.

Specs:

  • Burn time: up to 45 hours

Burn & care:
Burn for 3 to 4 hours at a time and keep the wick trimmed to about 10mm. Don't move the candle while lit or until the wax has set. Always burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, and never leave it unattended or within reach of children or pets. Stop use when 10mm of wax remains.

Bio

The St Eval Candle Company has been making candles from its clifftop home in North Cornwall for over thirty years. Family-run and B Corp certified, St Eval blends mineral and vegetable wax, drawing cotton wicks through molten wax on a 1940s machine that's still in use, then cutting, milling and boxing every candle by hand. Not tested on animals, made in Cornwall, and built around keeping the craft alive and treading lightly on the earth.
