Four slip-cast porcelain vases, marbled with coloured stains under a clear glaze. Emma finds hope in the making itself, the question of whether each piece will survive every stage, and in nature: the first buds of spring, and cut flowers that tell someone you're thinking of them. Made to hold a few stems and bring a little of the outside in.

Pieces:

  • H | 13cm x 13.5cm approx.
  • O | 9cm x 10cm approx.
  • P | 9cm x 16cm approx.
  • E | 11cm x 8cm approx.

Work from the collection is available to pre-order from 1 September. The exhibition runs in store from 8 to 13 September. After that, all work is ready to collect from the shop, or for dispatch, from 14 September.

Part of the Hope Collection, launching at Fodder Hampstead on 8th September 2026 in collaboration with I Have This Thing With Ceramics. 20% of all Hope Collection sales throughout September are donated to Hope Unlimited Charitable Trust (registered charity no. 1013880).

Please note that due to the handmade nature of all products, the dimensions, colours, glazes etc. may vary from piece to piece. The image here is for illustration purposes only and you may not receive the actual piece featured in the image.

Bio

Emma studied M(des) 3D Design & Craft at the University of Brighton, graduating in 2016. Since then, she has focused on establishing her own creative business designing and making handmade ceramics in her Brighton-based studio, specifically focusing on slipcasting in porcelain. Emma's functional homewares are often based around architecture, incorporating precise, angular forms and a degree of buildability into the pieces. The items are inspired by Brutalist architecture, with classic asymmetrical proportions and heavy forms.
