Hand-moulded stoneware wall tile with a three-dimensional sun rising from the surface. Lily makes each one individually, so the spikes, the face, and the way the glaze pools are never quite the same twice.

The textured tile catches light and shadow through the day, the raised sun throwing its own shape across the surface. Finished in one of three of Lily's glazes: her green nicotine glaze, wood ash, or tin white.

There is a notch on the back of each tile so ready to be hung.

Made to hang alone or grouped together. A piece of wall art you'll keep for good.

Bio

Lily Pearmain is a self taught potter living and working in South East London. She is driven by experimenting with processes and approaches to clay as a material, often using simple forms. Predominantly she uses the potters wheel. The work draws on British studio ceramics and the desire to make good, quiet, beautiful, and strong pots.
